Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms apply to The Birth Prep Studio (TBPS), to any courses, videos, materials or resources provided by Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga, and to our classes. By buying, accessing or taking part, you agree to them.

The Birth Prep Studio

Taking part is voluntary

Taking part in The Birth Prep Studio and in any course, video, material or resource provided by Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga is entirely voluntary.

Educational purposes only, not medical advice

The information, education, yoga practices, breathing techniques and relaxation exercises in TBPS are for general educational and informational purposes. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional, and nothing in TBPS is individual medical advice.

Please speak to your midwife, GP, obstetrician or other qualified healthcare provider about any questions or concerns relating to your pregnancy, health, labour or birth.

Taking part in TBPS does not create a medical or healthcare professional relationship between you and Molly or Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga.

No guaranteed outcomes

Pregnancy, labour and birth vary greatly from person to person. TBPS is designed to help you prepare for how you meet your experience, but it does not guarantee any particular pregnancy, labour or birth outcome.

Your responsibilities

By purchasing and taking part in TBPS, you confirm that:

  • you have sought appropriate medical advice about whether pregnancy yoga or physical activity is suitable for you;

  • you will listen to your body and stop any movement or practice that causes discomfort, pain or concern;

  • you are responsible for making sure your space is safe for movement and yoga practice; and

  • all decisions about your pregnancy, labour, birth and medical care remain your own, made in consultation with your healthcare provider.

Payment and refunds

TBPS is a one-time payment for full access. Payments are processed securely by Stripe or PayPal. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if TBPS isn't right for you, email molly@bumpbirthandbeyondyoga.com within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you.

Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga and its teachers are not liable for any injury, loss, complications or damages arising from your participation in TBPS, including pregnancy, labour, birth or postnatal outcomes.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Copyright and personal use

All TBPS content, including videos, audio recordings, PDFs and educational materials, belongs to Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga and is provided for your personal use only. You may not copy, reproduce, share, distribute or record it without our written permission.

Agreeing to these terms

By accessing The Birth Prep Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Classes

These terms apply to all Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga classes, including pregnancy yoga and Baby & Me, whether you attend in person or online.

Before you start

Before starting any class, please check with your doctor or midwife about any physical conditions or symptoms you have. Please also tell Molly about any new conditions or symptoms that arise after you book or first attend. It is your responsibility to keep Molly informed of any changes to your health.

Looking after your body

It is your responsibility to take care of your body during class and never to take your practice to a level of discomfort or pain. If any movement hurts or feels uncomfortable, please stop and let Molly know: in person, by telling her directly, or in an online class, through the chat function or by turning on your mic.

Babies

If you bring your baby to class, you remain responsible for their safety and wellbeing throughout.

Risk and liability

By booking or attending a class, you agree that you take part at your own risk and accept the risks of yoga practice. To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga and its teachers against any liability, losses, damages or expenses arising from your participation in yoga, and you release them from any liability claims.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Privacy and Cookies Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Welcome to the privacy notice and cookies policy of Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga ("we", "us", "our"), which includes The Birth Prep Studio.

We respect your privacy and we are committed to protecting your personal data. This notice explains how we look after your personal data when you visit our website, join our classes, buy The Birth Prep Studio, sign up to our emails or get in touch with us, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

Please read this notice together with any other privacy notice we may give you on specific occasions. It adds to those notices and does not replace them.

Who we are and how to contact us

Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga is run by Molly McHugh, who trades as Bump, Birth & Beyond Yoga and is based in Plymouth, UK. Molly is the controller and responsible for your personal data.

If you have any questions about this notice, or want to use any of your rights, email us at molly@bumpbirthandbeyondyoga.com.

You have the right to complain at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator (www.ico.org.uk). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us in the first instance.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, so it is worth checking it now and then. Please let us know if your personal details change so that what we hold stays accurate.

Third-party links and social media

Our website and social media may link to other websites, plug-ins and apps. Clicking on those links may let third parties collect or share data about you. We don't control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their notices when you leave our site.

When you contact or engage with us through Instagram, Facebook or other social media, that is also covered by the terms and privacy policies of those platforms. Please don't send sensitive personal or medical details through social media messages. If you need to tell us something sensitive, email us instead.

The data we collect about you

Personal data means any information about you from which you can be identified. We may collect, use, store and transfer these kinds of personal data:

  • Identity data: first name, last name, username or similar.

  • Contact data: email address, telephone number and address.

  • Financial and transaction data: details of payments to and from you and what you have bought from us. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal, so we do not store your full card details.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone and location, operating system and device information.

  • Profile and usage data: your account login, interests, preferences, feedback, survey responses, and how you use our website, classes and The Birth Prep Studio.

  • Marketing and communications data: your preferences for receiving emails from us, and your messages to us.

Health and pregnancy information

Because we teach pregnancy and postnatal yoga, you may tell us things about your health or pregnancy, for example your due date, a condition or symptom, or how your body feels, when you book a class, fill in a form, message us, or share in our community. This is called special category data. We only use it to teach safely, to answer you and to support you in our classes and content. We don't ask for your medical records. By choosing to share this information with us, you agree to us using it for these purposes. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by contacting us.

We do not collect details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions or trade union membership, and we do not collect information about criminal convictions.

We also use anonymous statistical data (for example, the percentage of visitors using a page). This is not personal data because it does not identify you.

If you don't give us your data

If we need personal data to provide you with something (for example, to give you access to The Birth Prep Studio or book you into a class) and you don't provide it, we may not be able to provide it. We will tell you if that is the case.

How your data is collected

  • Directly from you when you fill in forms on our website, buy a product or class, sign up to our emails, join our community, enter a survey or promotion, give feedback, or message or email us.

  • Automatically as you use our website, through cookies, server logs and similar technologies.

  • From the platforms we use, such as Facebook and Instagram (Meta), when you contact us, comment, or respond to our ads.

The tools and companies that handle your data

We use these services to run our business, and they handle your data on our behalf:

  • Squarespace hosts our website and member area and collects website and account data.

  • Kit manages our email list and sends our emails.

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) hosts our private community and social media, and provides our advertising. Meta may collect data about how you interact with our website and ads, and what you share in the community is visible to other members.

  • Stripe and PayPal process payments.

  • Other service providers such as IT, video and class platforms, and professional advisers such as accountants.

We require our providers to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in line with the law. We only allow them to process your data for specific purposes and on our instructions. We will not share your data with anyone else without your consent unless the law requires us to, for example to HM Revenue & Customs. If our business were ever sold or merged, the new owners could use your data as described in this notice.

How we use your data

We only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we use it:

  • To provide what you've asked for or bought, such as a class, The Birth Prep Studio, a free masterclass or a resource.

  • To manage your account, bookings and payments, and to keep in touch about them.

  • For our legitimate interests, such as running, protecting and improving our business and website, as long as your rights don't outweigh those interests.

  • To comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

  • Where you have given us your consent, for example to send you marketing emails or to use health information you choose to share.

Marketing

We may use your identity, contact, technical, usage and profile data to decide which of our products, classes and offers might interest you. You will get marketing emails from us if you've asked for information, signed up, or bought from us, and you haven't opted out.

We will ask for your clear opt-in consent before sharing your data with any other company for their marketing.

You can opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Opting out won't affect messages we need to send you about something you've bought or booked.

Change of purpose

We only use your data for the reasons we collected it, unless we reasonably think we need to use it for another compatible reason. If you'd like to know how a new use is compatible with the original, contact us. If we need to use your data for an unrelated purpose, we'll tell you and explain our legal basis.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Squarespace, Kit and Meta, are based outside the UK, for example in the United States, so your data may be processed there. When this happens, we make sure it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK's approved data transfer arrangements or contractual protections. Contact us if you'd like more detail.

Data security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, accessed without permission, altered or disclosed, and we limit access to those who need it. We have procedures for dealing with any suspected data breach and will tell you and the regulator where we are legally required to.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the reasons we collected it, including meeting legal, accounting or reporting requirements, and so that you can keep access to what you've bought and stay in touch with us if you wish. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below) and we will do so unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.

Your legal rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and receive a copy of it.

  • Correct data that is incomplete or inaccurate.

  • Erase your data, where there is no good reason for us to keep using it.

  • Object to us using your data where we rely on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.

  • Restrict how we use your data in certain situations, for example while you check its accuracy.

  • Transfer your data to you or another provider in a commonly used, machine-readable format.

  • Withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew, and we'll tell you if it means we can't provide something.

To use any of these rights, email molly@bumpbirthandbeyondyoga.com. You won't normally have to pay a fee. We may ask for information to confirm who you are, to keep your data safe, and we aim to respond within one month. If your request is complex or you've made several, it may take longer and we'll let you know.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers stored on your browser or device. We use cookies to tell you apart from other users, give you a good experience and improve our website. By continuing to use our site, you agree to our use of cookies. We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which the website needs to work, such as logging in to the member area or using checkout.

  • Analytics and performance cookies, which count visitors and show how people move around the site so we can improve it.

  • Functionality cookies, which recognise you when you return and remember your preferences.

  • Targeting and advertising cookies and pixels, such as Meta's, which record visits to our site and the links you follow so our ads are more relevant to you. This information may be shared with third parties such as Meta for this purpose.

Third parties, such as advertising and analytics providers, may also set cookies that we don't control.

You can block cookies in your browser settings, but if you block all cookies, including essential ones, you may not be able to use all or parts of our site.

  • Legal or regulatory obligation: using your data where the law requires it.
