You can learn everything about birth and still feel unprepared.
You can read about the stages of labour, learn breathing techniques, attend antenatal classes, write your birth preferences, listen to every podcast and still arrive at birth thinking:
“What the fuck am I actually supposed to do now this is getting intense?”
And that’s because learning about birth isn’t the same as preparing for it.
Birth isn’t something you experience from the outside. It’s physical, emotional and physiological. And when things get intense, information alone isn’t enough. You need practical tools.
You need to know how movement, positioning, breath, sound and your environment can support you. And you need to spend time actually practising being in your body — before you’re in the middle of birth.
That’s what The Birth Prep Studio is here for.
This isn’t about rehearsing the perfect birth.
Birth is completely unpredictable. Plans and circumstances change and sometimes birth asks something completely different of you than you imagined. So rather than spending your pregnancy trying to mentally rehearse every possible version of birth…
We choose to focus on YOU. How you breathe, move and regulate your nervous system. How you connect with your body, respond to intensity and how you stay with yourself when things don’t go to plan.
Because you can’t control exactly how birth unfolds but you can prepare for how you meet it and the challenges that come with it.
What’s included?
Short lessons when you have 10 minutes.
Longer practices when you want to go deeper.
Guided relaxations when you need to slow down.
Birth education when you want to understand what’s happening.
You don’t have to complete it in a particular order. You don’t have to “finish” it.
Come back to the tools you need, when you need them.
This is your preparation. Your body. Your experience.

Why choose The Birth Prep Studio?
There are plenty of places you can learn about birth… Antenatal classes, hypnobirthing, podcasts, books, social media and birth stories. And in my honest opinion the last thing you probably need is another place to consume information.
That’s why The Birth Prep Studio is different. It’s the place that brings the pieces together.
Movement + biomechanics.
Nervous system preparation.
Pregnancy yoga.
Breath + relaxation.
Grounded birth education.
And most importantly: practice, deep connection and integration.
Because knowledge is valuable. But knowledge isn’t the same as embodiment.
You don’t want to spend your entire pregnancy collecting information and then have to remember it all when you’re in labour. You want the tools to feel familiar and you want your body to know what it feels like to breathe through intensity. To move, soften, connect and to come back to yourself.
That’s the difference.
My Birth Didn’t Go To Plan…
I was 21 when I had my son and although I had planned a home birth, I didn’t have the experience I thought I was going to have.
I was let down by my birth partner and by the maternity system around me. A lot of things happened that I couldn’t control. But thankfully I’d done the work beforehand.
I understood birth, I had practical tools, I knew how to move, breathe and connect with myself. So when birth became intense and things didn’t go to plan, I was still able to meet the experience from a place of trust and deep inner knowing.
It wasn’t perfect, by any means and it wasn’t predictable at all. But I came away from it calling it one of the best days of my life and that experience shaped everything I now teach because I know the tools that made me still have the most positive birth experience.
I’m not here to promise you a particular type of birth. I’m here to help you feel more capable of meeting the one you end up having.
